Raising the Sepia Tone

- of  whats  underneath : the contents of your drawers

 An Aid to the Steampunk Ladies [or gents] seeking a more desirable tint for their delicates

   au natural , skin tone , linen , military drab, flesh tone





 Whether  converting  chaste white chemise & lingerie or reconditioning a weathered uniform, this natural time honoured method is simple and money saving


 Instructions

Ensure garment is clean
Fill large  pot with water 
Add  tea  [coffee,cocoa ]
Bring  water to boil
Add 2 tbl sp salt  and 1/4 cup white vinegar as a fixative
Turn off heat
Immerse garment and leave  at least 1 hour [ longer the time , stronger the tint]
Thoroughly rinse garment , & leave to dry naturally


For larger articles, pants ,  jackets, cloth etc

Fill  bath tub with hot water.
Add  1/2 cup salt , 1 cup white vinegar

**Woolen  & Silk articles should only ever be treated in luke warm water.
    Synthetic fabrics will only take on a lighter hue
    Parts of garment  in made in other  fabrics will vary in  tone
